just got one for my 92 if i want to the nv 5600 six speed that they put in the 24valve years would my clutch still work or is the input shaft size different?

Hey Buck!

If you use a 99or 2000 6 speed it will work fine. The 6 speed in the 01 up trucks was for the HO trucks and has the larger input.

Now, should you find a screaming deal on a 02 or 04 6 speed, we can order a different friction plate from South bend for a few bucks and have everything be correct, providing the pressure plate is in good enough condition.
