P1222

I keep getting this code P1222 with this light on the dash. I can clear it with my Smarty but it comes back after awhile with normal driving or faster with more throttle.

Does anyone know what it is and how to fix it? I thought it was an issue with the heater grid and have unhooked it from the battery but still get code.

Other things I have tried.

------------------------------
Ok motor starts stumbling in 1st gear then the code pops after a few 1st gear runs. It only stumbles in first gear.

I set it back to stock with the Smarty then put it back on 9 and it ran fine for awhile/25 miles then started the code/stumbling again.

I did put my Smarty on a buddies truck for a few days then back on mine. Don't know if that would have anything to do with it.?
------------------------------

I am going to clear the code and set it back to stock tomorrow and run it with out the Smarty to see what happens.

That will at lest tell us if the Smarty is doing it or not.
-------------------------------

Update.... I set the truck back to stock and ran the piss out of it with no code. It also suuuuuked in stock form! Then loaded the smarty back on it and all is good so far. The only thing I can think of was the waste gate option was not off but don't really know what the issue was or if it will come back. I have laid it down in all gears several times and no code.
--------------------------------

As of friday PM....

Got the P1222 code back yesterday. So set the truck back to stock and updated the smarty again then put it back on the truck again. It is still stumbling in 1st gear and I am now wondering if it is the download for the smarty TNT issue?

Did not have any issues until we did the update.

Does not pop the code set to stock but does it with the Smarty loaded on it. I do know we did not have any issues until we did the newest upload.

Took the valve cover off and everything is connected and good to go.

Changed out smartys with a friend and it still popped the P1222 code so it's not the smarty.

Blocked off the PRV on the rail and so fare no code. Will see if that is it or move on to something else.

Just don't understand why the gridheater light comes on if it is a fuel issue? Crazy!

Update:
Blocking off the PRV did not help.

See info below for the info as of now. Waiting on a new download from Bob and they are aware of the issue.

Called Bob today to ask about the P1222 issue and they said it was a issue with Dodges new flash causing some kind of bug issue.

They are working on a new download and should be up in a few days.

I get that light along with about 10 dings when the truck shifts in to 4th gear. I don't have ANY of my grid heater system on the truck any more(heater, solenoid, wiring)

As for a code related to it I'm not sure on mine

I have heard that a code p1223 with the wait to start light could be a bad fca?? I know it's not exact but close. You have similar issues.

AH HA!!!

I'm glad you posted that because I got the p1223 code also, AND a P0148 I think it was (fuel delivery error)

These things were leading me to my FCA going out or being out along with a way jumpy fuel rail pressure gauge

sweet!

I just ordered a new FCA today, I hope it helps

Forgot to also say that not all trucks are having this issue.

Hmmm,

I am not having any fuel pressure issues. Fuel and rail pressure gauges are still showing normal pressures.

I hope the new down load takes care of the issue with the P1222 code that I am getting and that is the only code I have.

Hope all goes well for you other guys too.

Brian your FCA was replaced with the Arson III Kit. You can swap back the stock one as a test if the new download doesn't solve your issue.
