Updated December 18th 2015
Got sick of the ride and steering on my custom pieced together lift and replaced it with a 8inch BDS long arm lift... night and day difference in ride and steering! I also did the 08.5 steering upgrade at the same time too.
Plans are to redo the bed liner with line x (crappy one is peeling), paint the rockers white and remove the wrap, line x the fender flares white, order a SRT10 front bumper and line x a rear bumper white as well. Since im going to have to replace these tires this summer, im debated about going to 18s. Im also going to finish my twin turbo, dual cp3 install too. And finally get a full billet trans.
Updated Feb 1 2013
Finally broke my stock trans last week... ordered a Garmon Stage 3 full billet thanks to the members here. I cant wait to get it in and see what ive been missing.
I also redid my bed liner... what a pain in the butt that was. I didn't' expect it to cost me $4000 to remove and repaint it!!!
The 07 MC SB Auto 5.9L (SOLD )
How she looked when I first got it from a guy who didn't take care of it at all and did alot of sh*tty installing and removal of stuff as well.
Skip this next two paragraphs if you dont want to read my horror story. LOL
I've been spending alot of time and money FIXING things to make them right! Im the first to tell anyone that I love modding things, I HATE FIXING THINGS! But I think I got most of the problems repaired. My good friend is an electrical engineer for the railroad and previous to that he worked in a car audio shop for many years. Hes very detailed oriented person so hes perfect for me because im a details person as well. We had to rewire the entire lift system! Every wire was junk, exposed, loose, crappy fittings, etc. I had to buy a new ECU (gen 2) for the accurair air ride, new filters, new pressure sensor, and key fob remotes. I've had to order various interior parts from the dealership. Like part of the lower dash by the center console, hooks and screws that attach to the back wall behind the seats, and some other trim piece.
My friend and I installed an Alpine INA-W900 touch screen head unit, the guy had an overhead dvd player that we are using as a second monitor for the alpine. I also installed my Garmin GPS in it because I like the Garmin GPS over the alpine unit, plus I can then use them seperately. Coming next weekend Im going to install my police scanner, license plate frame back up camera, and radar detector. Then later Im going to either take the guages out of my 05 or buy new ones.
I'm going to take pics of the interior this weekend. EDIT: SEE POST BELOW
How she looks now....
22X14 Fuel Offroad Hostages with 40X15.5X22 Toyo MTs
Next week we are installing my Road Armor prerunner bumper, PIAA lights, black grill inserts and Im going to temporarily paint the rear bumper, I'll order a rear Road Armor later. Im also going to try and paint the exhaust and drive shaft black as well. Say NO TO CHROME!
The plan for april: I got an extra set of front fender flares that Im going to install once i order a new set of rears. The current fronts are all chewed up from rubbing, I dont know what kind of tires they had on it before but the bumper and flares are pretty hashed. im going to leave the flares unpainted like on my 05, Im going to keep the truck gloss black/flat black like my GSXR and Charger. So the truck will have some flat black on it. Next up after that is the 09 steering and a carli low mount stabilizer, then I hope its on to the really fun stuff! Stay tuned!
Updated April 16th 2012
Updated pics so people dont have to search through all 130 plus pages....
September my 2012 Megacab dually arrived. I special ordered it so I got exactly what I wanted.
How she came...
Put on the 22.5s and Carli leveling kit right away.... later I did the BD Brace.
Started phase one of the black out... tint, head lights, door handles, cab lights, mirrors, and third brake light...
I got sick of the harsh ride on the 22.5s so I ordered some American Force Liberty 22s instead.... shoulda just spent the money the first time.
Phase 2 of blacking out finally completed.... new grill and bumpers were bought, since I presold my chrome bumpers.
Added a Retrax bed cover.... and console shifter from a 1500
Only major exterior mod left is a power Retrax bed cover... then more carli goods... control arms, track bar, stablizer, and ball joints (when the time comes to replace them).
Im going to start a thread for my two cummins so that I can just keep adding to one thread, instead of starting numerous threads. This way people can follow along if they wish, or ignore me altogether so I dont become a pain in the .
