I called James at 2:50pm yesterday and ordered a BD Steering Box Stabilizer kit so I could have it by this weekend..........It arrived this morning!!!!!!!!

I got it put on today!!

what are the pros of the steering box you all are talking about?? How much is it?? My truck's steering was nice and tight a year ago, and now feels like every other sloppy dodge..

Install wasn't to bad. Took about 45 min. to do.
Truck seems to handle a little bit better than before, a little more steady while goin down the road.
After installing this, I realize I have other issues goin on

I think it's time for the 3rd gen trak bar conversion and maybe ball joints (uggghh). I'm gonna have to get'er jacked up and check things out.

Just a side note.........The instructions say a 1 1/4 socket in the "tools needed" list so I went and borrowed a buddies 3/4 drive socket set and then found out you need a deep well socket to get over the extended nut

An open end wrench with another open end wrench hooked onto that and a urrrrggghh and grrruuunnt= @180 ft. lb. called for in the instructions

Yeah, I did the 3rd gen upgrade on my '00 and had to do new ball joints as well. Drove nice and straight after that. Typical weak link on the 2nd gens.

im puttin new ball joints, calipers, and pads on on the 17th of this month. I'm hoping my hubs don't bust during the install, i just did those last summer and they aren't cheap. Hopefully all this will fix my problems!!
