How not to smoke in Pittsburgh....

How do you guys drive 5 or 6 speed trucks, with a programmer, and not smoke out the guys behind you. I have been trying for 3 days now, and some people just dont understand.

the only way i've found to keep it clean is on the comp leave it on 1, and just start on the throttle really slow, and hold it till i'm higher up in the revs, that way i'm not lugging in the next gear. of course it is usually way more fun / way easier to just jump from 3 to 6th on level 5 and clear an intersection!!! it definitly makes the day go by better.

It is impossible for me to not smoke taking off or just driving.... the hybrid turbo I have isn't enough..... time to upgrade!!!!

my brother called me the other day and said you better cool it down there bro, I said what are you talking about... he said on that big hill by the liquor store I drove through almost a mile of smoke and could barely keep the Celica on the road.

with my adrenaline on pl10 with the comp tune loaded, i CAN drive it with hardly any smoke at all. i dont always do it because that is no fun but when im in downtown lexington i keep it smoke free. i also have 130hp injectors. if i want to, i could shut down a four lane road, but i have the choice to smoke or not. i sometimes start in 1st gear and just wind them out so im not luggin in the next gear like stated above. now if someone is on my arse, its 25mph in 5th gear til i can no longer see them!!!

Yeah I don't have any problem with smoke. I don't have a lot done to the truck yet, but still if I want smoke I can sure make it.

I do usually drive like there is an egg under the pedal when accelerating.

and i wasn't paying attention that you have a CR. in my opinion they smoke more than any of the other style cummins'. i was driving my bosses truck last summer, driving it normally like i drive mine in town and i looked behind me and i could not see any cars at all. the road was filled with thick black smoke. i cant remember what boxes he had stacked but i was amazed at how much smoke it threw out with no effort at all....
