Ouch. As much fun as it looks... well.. "Trip distance: 1487.81 miles Time: 23 hrs " I'll have to pass and wait for something closer. Goodluck to those who go and compete.

Yup their rules are set up stupid any engine mod other than a air intake takes you out of the street class and into the modified class which means that you then have to have shackle guards and other safety crap

if you've never entered at the buck then you really don't know the deal.

I am not "in" with anyone and I am competitive, and walked away with prize money 3 times last year, and had 2nd in overall points for the series. As a matter of fact quite a few of the tech guys dont like me at all because i started a ruckus about their bumper rule.

as for safety stuff, you dont need air shut offs, just bolts in the exhaust and u-joint shields.

for some reason they have a dumb rule that banks hi ram intakes and aftermarket IC's put you in modified, even with a stock turbo.

as for needing holset on the turbo...NOPE, the street class runs a 2.5" rule, which means all the popular 62mm turbos are good in street class. 64mm comes out real tight and fails the plug test so thats bumps you to modified.

the only thing you need a "stock" turbo for is the dirt drags, they dont want big turbo trucks racing because its a short track and dont want them going too fast.

any more questions you can ask.
