Trip around Lake Huron

Thinking of a travel/camping trip around lake Huron and was wondering is route? 6 or 69 better to or from 17? does the Tobermory ferry run all the way across? will be haul'n my 36' 5'r

any and all suggestions welcome

I can't beleive this site .I just wrote you a lengthy reply to give you some info about the ferry and the roads and it had logged me out before I could add it .Anyway the ferry runs from Tob.to Manitoulin Island at South Bay Mouth and back.6 from tob south is a good road .Ferry stops running Oct 14 .Sailings can get rough this time of year.I live southwest of where 21 & 6 meet .69 has a rep for wild traffic but alot use it rather than take the ferry.Takes about equal time .More info on ferry @ Ontario Ferries - Owen Sound Transportation Company .More info from me PM me .

keep the ideas coming, thinking of doing this next spring/summer when kids are out of school,

Scott yes i planned on stopping by your place I think you woud give me **ll if I didn't ,

planning on a couple week adventure so will have time to with some of ya'll

Well why didn't you say not till next summer .That opens up a hole lot more in the way of entertainment for the boys. Lots and lots of GIRRLLSS at the beaches for them.OK so you didn't want them chasing too many just yet.
