Anyone here in Ontario hotshotting?I'm trying to figure out what exactly what I need to get started as far as licencing, registration and insurance. Also is there a good source online for shoring up work? I've found lots of material here and online for running a business and getting loads out of the US but our laws and licencing requirements are different here in the North.Any input would be great. Frank

The link below should give you an idea, though the regulations and requirements likely differ up here in Ontario from our friends to the South.I just want to know what is needed to get started and how to source work. Frank How to start a hot shot business 101

Different parts of Canada even have different rules and regs. He said in Ontario if hes hauling a wide load all he needs is the banner with the "D" sign front and back if hes in Nova Scotia he needs a escort vehicle. You also have to stick to your designated route plan. He got into trouble and fined by going off course due to construction. He didn't realize he was on the wrong road.
