i was really hoping to break 100k in that pos so i could get another one on order, a 1 ton single cab v10 6spd... but if they end up puttin another engine in this one (which i'm sure they will) i'll end up driving it for another 100k.....

#6 cylinder = cracked piston + hole burnt through. ferd said the rest of even bank had 100# lower compression than odd bank... so.....

also, they said that they found metal in the high-pressure fuel system and ferd wants them to take fuel samples before they can press on with any warranty claims......

it was before it hit the dealership

crazy thing is- dealership has had it for 3 weeks now. have gone through everything and now an inspector from ford motor co is coming out to verify their findings and take 7-10 more business days to make a decision on warranty...

WTF?!! the mechanic workin on my truck said that they've never seen a 6.4L come in with 100k miles and not be on its second engine

even funnier thing is the other mechanic has 62k miles on his and it laid down today... ford f*ckin sucks...

the other guys truck lost an injector in #2. he took it to barber dyson in elk city- they replaced the injector under warranty and gave the truck back... get this, it still hammered like hell but they said 'oh well, they all do that, it'll clear up'. he doesn't drive it a full day and it goes into limp mode back in weatherford so he has to drive it back to elk city @ 45mph and it is HAMMERIN.

they get into it and find #2 rod bent- so it's sitting in elk city waitin for a short-block to drop in... what a motherf*cker. these 6.4L's are the biggest pieces of sh*t i've ever driven.

i'm still waitin for ford to decide on mine..............

We've been lucky that our fords arent taking a crap. Fords arent to bad, Chevys are weak and we only have two dodges and I dont think either have been in shop for engine trouble.
