Did anyone make it to the diesel Drags at Thompson this weekend

I was there on sat and was dissapointed. I thought there would be more diesel lovers out there. The show and shine was a joke too. I thought the advertising was shady. On thiompson's web site it said sunday there will be a dyno competition at 9am... I was there and the gates were closed.

Sorry yall were disappointed. I didnt make it up. I know how it can be with a drag race event.
1. When weather doesnt cooperate it makes it ROUGH for the track crew. The "pop up thunderstorms" can make for a very long event, if not shut it down.
2. Diesel drag racing is a fairly new event. Main thing is to get behind them and support them and NADM and really get things rolling. When you put in months of planning, phone calls to vendors and sponsors, getting purse $ together, setting up the event, working it all day long to make sure it goes smooth and fair, your BEAT. And THEN when you are dead on your feet, its time to tear down.
Like I said, main thing is to show them your support. I mean THEM and NADM. Get ahold of the right people prior to the event. Ask if they need any help on the event. They might not, but the support often means more than at the gate.

I will try to make the next event, had too much going on around here. BIg thanks to them for bringing the event to Ohio!

We left for Thompson at 5pm on Friday and didnt get into the hotel in Geneva til 2:30a.m.

This was our(NHRDA's) first event in Ohio, and let me tell ya I was proud of all the folks who came out to support us. Thanks to all who showed up to race and spectate and hang out with friends! Despite the rain shutting us down early we had an awesome time. We will be back in Ohio for sure!! We knocked on the door and Ohio answered and laid down the welcome mat!

We can only grow larger if the support and attendance comes out- without y-all supporting the venues it would make it tough to stay in the market- but we are here to stay and want this to get larger and larger. Hopefully next season we will have a Sled Pulling Series to add to the fun!

We had records made and broken and reset this Saturday, I am sure had the rain missed us these records woulda been broke again!!

The next one is in New Jersey @ Island Dragway ! Come on out and support the NHRDA Division 5 !

Does anyone know about any pulls in the northeast ohio area soon? I know there is one at the OX Roast in Mantua,OH sometime in July. Don't think it is sanctioned but it is a good ole time.
