Not for me to say, but I believe the event will still happen, just be relocated to another location in NE Ohio.

Git-R-Done Dave ran the Cumonster truck thru the mud pit that was right next to the track, this created a tsunami and washed out the last puller in Northwest PA’s class. They attempted to scrap it off, but the few pieces of angle iron that made up the scrapper just wasn’t enough, the few guys that jumped on the scrapper for some added weight helped a little, but things were dragged out and made even worse. The lawn mower pulling the lawn roller got stuck a few times in the mud, and the sled got stuck at the starting line after the tsunami hit. The dozer showed up an hour later and eventually a new half a track was created, complete with plenty of oversize rock. To make things fair, they restarted EVERYTHING from the very beginning, pulling in the opposite direction. A tractors cast flywheel flew apart almost injuring several people, that delayed things even more, followed my the weight transfer mysteriously rolling to the front of the sled while a truck was lighting the charger (another half hour to remedy). For an event that started at 7, it should have ended around 10 when considering the low turnout, instead we left around 12:30, and I made it home around 3am. I’m sure I forgot a few things… but you get the idea.

NADM did the best with what they had and made it rather clear there will be no future events at Yankee Lake. A big thanks needs to go to Chuck for all the effort he put into Friday night, keeping things sane and moving.
Damn it man! That does suck. But, thats truck pullin. I think they need to find a new venue for that area. Alot of the pulls are down south, for NADM (NC, AL, GA ect) and I know they wanted something up here in the heart of pullin country. I would guess that they may look into some other options.
NADM is hosting the Zanesville pull this year. IT should be pretty good. I understand Diesel World Magizine will be there as well as vendors. Hopefully you can make it down for that! And of course D&D 08' ?

I think NADM should look into Bunker Hill. That would be a sweet combo. Good track, concrete barriers, and the seating is already there.

There should be a few of us at Zanesville assisting the event. I think we may be in Mt. Vernon Saturday for a hook. We could swing up for the D&D and BS a little if we have a few hours left in the night. PM me your cell, I had it at one time but I guess I didn’t save it.

I'm originally from the area and I've hit truck night a few times. We always had a good time. I liked being able to walk around and watch the mud bog, tug o' war, mini rock climbs, etc. The best part about it was being able to have a few cold ones at the same time.

I did the tug last night. First time for me. I was up aginst a late 90's powerstroke with about 4 ton worth of tractor weights in the bed. I pulledem twice then he did the same. He ed cause my 2inch drop reciever was upside down. So i flipped it. he pulled me. Pissed me off cause he made such a big deal about that reciever, no one cared about the mound of iron in his bed.
