Dyno Results/Aftermath of Western NC Dyno Day
Well, guys, I just returned home from two great days in Boone/Blowing Rock, N.C. after attending Lucas and Natalie Underwood's ("L&N Performance") Western N.C. Dyno Day which was held on Saturday June 21, 2008! For those of you that missed this event, you missed a well organized event with some great door prizes, fantastic food, some pretty darn good dyno numbers and some real good comraderie between all of the diesel truck owners that attended. It was great to see my old friends there and to meet some new faces also. From our regular group, it was myself and Dustin Mabe (Tacsavage), although Unit 44 (Sean Rayne) also came down with his family from up in Virginia! Dustin and Sean, it was great to see you guys again! I want to thank Lucas (mysterync) and Natalie Underwood and their company "L&N Performance" for hosting such a great event! Lucas,.....it was a great pleasure to have finally met you and your Wife! You have a nice place up there and the history of your families "Mystery Hill" business was a pleasure to see. Next, I would like to thank "Sudden Performance" for bringing their Mustang Dyno to the event. Their Staff consisting of Brent, Scott, Justin and all the helpers did a great job IMO! Finally, my thanks to all of the sponsors that gave Lucas and Natalie product for this event. Having run events like this myself in eastern N.C., I can relate to how very important these sponsors are and IMHO we should all try to support them in every way we can. Hopefully, Lucas can post the names of these sponsors. As I promised Lucas, I am posting the dyno numbers from the event below. They are listed in the order that the trucks were run and the highest H.P. numbers are listed. The torque numbers are not listed for all the trucks, as the "Sudden Performance" Staff was having some problems with the software/pickup on their dyno. Later in the day they were able to get this somewhat fixed, so I have listed torque when it was given to me. If I have misspelled anyones' names or listed a number wrong, my apologies. If there are any errors, please P.M. me and I will correct them for you. I also listed the DTR "User Name" when I knew it or it was given to me. DYNO NUMBERS FROM WESTERN NC DYNO DAY, SAT. Hey John, sounds like it was a great event. Any idea when they'll be having another. I'm only a couple hours south of there down here in SC.

SmokinDiesel: Yes, my 889 was on #2 only. Here is a video link that a friend of mine took there on the run. As you will see, the black smoke was pretty bad. Almost completely "blacked out" the front of Lucas' business there! YouTube - John Porterfield Dyno Blowing Rock NC 6-21-08 -------- John_P

We will be having a big dyno and drag racing event on October 10-11th, 2008 in Jacksonville, N.C. I will post info on that event here this week. Also, if you like drag racing NADM is hosting a "Diesel Drag Race Event" at Rockingham Dragway, Rockingham, N.C. on August 9th, 2008. --------- John_P
