anyway, here is an update as of an hour ago.
Ok, I talked to the President of the club today. He blew smoke at me at the entrance of our housing area so I did a u-turn and we had a chat. Seems like an alright guy. Has nice rig for sure. I expressed my concerns about the safety factor in this when they smoke out intersections and other public places (school buses). He informed me there was no law here for black smoke. that is fine, but there soon will be if they keep it up. I also informed him about the Marine Base and their growing interest in why they keep getting reports about smoking diesels. He agreed to talk to the club and curb the smoke some. That is all I can do at this point. If I see it on base or excessive in town again, I will do a 3rd party ciatation on who ever it is and they will have to go to base traffic court and I will be there to inform the judge as to exactly why the truck smokes.

on another note, he said the truck runs 10:80s at 133mph and he will be at the Jacksonville dragstrip soon. I would love to see that but I am moving soon. I mentioned JohnP and he said he had heard about him, but like he said, his runs 10:80's.

I just hope they curb it some because I could have taken a whole different approach to this and I am trying to be cool as I am a gear head myself.

Thanks guys

Ron:

After I last talked to you about three weeks ago and you said that Mr. Hutton told you that the "Black Smoke Mafia" would "be heading out to Coastal Plains Dragway" in a couple of weeks" I was OUT there last week and on Friday,......
BUT,....NO Black Smoke Mafia and No Mr. Hutton,.....AKA: "Mr. 1300 H.P. who runs 10.80's!"

I have made it clear to a bunch of U.S. Marines on Camp Lejeune and New River to let Mr. Hutton know that if he can come out to CPD and ACTUALLY RUN A REAL 10.80 E.T. that I will give him a fresh $100.00 BILL!!
