Albemarle is good. I grew up in Mint Hill (still considered Charlotte), it is growing fast. Concord would be good, a new drag strip is being built should be open in September.

I'm up here in Winston/ Kernersville/ High Point/ Greensboro Area and I love it. 3hrs. to the Beach and 1 hr. west and I'm in the Mountains. 1hr. south puts me in Charlotte, and 1 hr. north and I'm in Martinsville, VA. I know an excellant realtor if you come to this area I'll hook y'all up.

Why would you want to move NC from the North West? I moved there last year to be closer to the family from Colorado. It's the worst thing I've ever done!

Such a depressed area, I lasted about a year and a half.

Gastonia has a small town feel but is close to Charlotte, with big town availability.

You can always come to Rutherfordton NC. It is located in the foothills of the blueridge mountains and about an hour drive to a few large towns like Asheville and charlotte, Spartanburg SC. It seems like everyone coming to live here or build vacation homes.
Here your pretty much in the middle of everything.
Almost forgot also got shady side dragway to go play at.

I'm in the mountians, Boone to be exact, everything is pretty pricey here, but low crime rates, nice weather... All around pretty nice! not much to partake in though!
