Hello From Jacksonville

Hello All,

I came across this site a few days ago, and I can't stop reading! There is so much information here! I know very little about diesel engines, but this site has helped alot.

Me: Retired Corpsman, 2d Marine Division, most of my career (loved it!). Currently in sales (battery). Hobbies include novice home machinist, novice gunsmith, hunting, fishing, shooting, woodcarving, food. I am married to a saint, I mean Satan (just kidding Honey!), and have a wonderful 3 almost 4 year old dauhter.

I went to get my truck inspected the other day and was REJECTED! No cat
Putting it back on this week, slighty lighter.

Looking forward to meeting up somewhere, sometime provided I can get the time off.

Hugh

Got it inspected the next day, without any changes. I was in and out within 10 minutes. I'll have to remember Court House Bay. I have'nt been out there in years.

Thanks, Hugh

Good to hear it. I believe NC views a turbo as a Muffler. Just what I heard but not sure.

Welcome !
I always take mine to the small repair place straight out the New River gate maybe 2 miles. These guys will take care of you and are too old to bend over to look. If the computer doesn't catch and codes your golden.

Plus I don't think you need a cat on your truck, they call it heavy duty standards in NC.

shane is right NC state DMV recognizeze a turbo as a mufftler so all you really need is exhaust that ends in some sort of tailpipe. I go to marks over at the intersection of 17 and gumbranch
