fuel pressure checking

i checked the fp on my stock truck yesterday at the test port fitting. i used one of the fp gauges from autozone thats liquidfilled with the truck running it was about 10 psi when i reved it would drop to 0 or 2 psi is this normal or is transfer pump going going gone, also i bought ne buypass lift pump from bd diesel should i stop driving the truck untill i put the new pump on or am i ok thanks any help would be nice...

at that low a pressure your harming your injection pump. if you have something else to drive untill you get your bd on i would do that.

just got new bd oem buypass pump on it only reads 8-10 at idel and 5-7 at wot is this normal.does anyone else have this pump,or am i in the dark on this .any help ....

You NEED a minimum 8 - 10 at WOT, my FASS wont drop below 13 at WOT and I'm not running any comps or fuel boxes.

I ran the auxiallary pump for awhile with a new pump at the block and had 32psi at idle and 28 at wide open throttle, you should see about 15psi at idle

I have seen 7psi on mine sometimes if I'm not mistaken the flow rateing is more important than psi the stock pomp is rated at appox 40-50 gpm bd pump is rate at 100 or 120 cant remember
