Served 7 years in USMC 1989 to 1996. 1st tank batallion, 29 Palms. Was a batallion armorer and a secondary mos of M1A1 tanker. Got crushed in the hip and offered a desk job something like SRB clerk. LOL,,,I was too proud and declined the position and elected to go to the med board. When I got out finally,,,I asked myself over and over,"why didn't I just take that desk job?." I loved the USMC!! Semper Fi!!

Still serving, not in NC anymore, passed through there for about a year and a half back in '02, headed down to Key West, FL next week--for the next three years or so. Army for 11 years now, just re-up'd for the long haul.

Army guy here. Been in for about 4.5 years. Just got back from Baghdad in December and got switched out of the 4th Infantry Division to the 3rd Armored Cavalry Reg. at Ft. Hood, TX. Love it but when my time comes I will get out. I will have about 7 yrs in. I strongly encourage the military to anybody interested in doing something with there lives. Its made me the man I am today.

Happy Memorial Day to all those that have served or continue to serve!

Kyle
