Have you done mods to decrease fuel consumption?

A new person to forum asks:

I want to see in anybody in the NJ-NY Metro area is doing mods to increase mileage by decreasing fuel consumption. If so, what mods have you done? How have they worked out?

I have a newly purchased 02 2500 5-speed, 2WD.

In Central NJ

I may not be from the NY area(far from it here in Central IL) but i have been able to do a couple things to help with fuel economy. being that you have the good ol VP44, i would recomend getting the Airdog like i did or somp along those lines. it replaces the faulty fuel pump and gives you better fuel pressure to keep the vp happy and i gained little better than 2mpg. the intake and muffler delete do help some as well, if you can keep your foot out of it!!! as for really helping economy though. the best you can do it just stay of out the pedal, its hard but really helps. hope this helps
