All depends on where you are.. In the country over here you dont need to worry, most likely the cop thats pulling you over has got a lifted truck too.. If you were in the city then he might me more of a pain

what about in jersey for people who used to have a 5.4L gas in a F250 but will soon have a 12V cummins

how do we register that?

sounds good, not done yet... actually still looking for the donor truck, but theres lots of them popping up, i missed a good deal on one cause i found it too late... there will be more

I miss read your post origanally, you can only register your truck for self inspect 10,000gvw if its diesel from the start and registration i believe i dont no the laws exactly you'll have to check that one

My truck was registered for 9990 but when I got it done again the guy at the MVC did it for 5000.

if they got the registration down to 5000.... then what do you need to do go do a tilt test and all...?



Here is a question what is the "right / Legal" way of registering a vehicle that is a 2003 F250 5.4L gas with a swapped power plant... to a cummins 5.9L P-pump from a 94-98 cummins truck?

i would love to know the "right" way to handle that then i will try to do what i do based on that

No tilt test for the Dodge as its stock.

I lived in Northern NJ for 28 years and got sick of all the BS from DMV and POLICE telling me that i was doing some wrong. It was "your truck is lifted too high" or "your tires are sticking out to far" evey time i left the house. Here in the great state of Alabama the higher the better and tires need to stick out so you dont hit the door on little tree hugger cars running 60mph in the fast line on the interstate. I have been there done that and NJ sucks.

i will be moving to pa for school in fall will i have to worry about gettin my truck inspected and if so were can i find the laws on everything
