you dont need commercial to register for over 10k, the benefits of it are , dont have to get it inspected. ive been pulled over a few times n only gotten asked once about inspection sticker. told em i registered over 10k they said wheres your paperwork, i told em i wasnt informed i needed any at the time of registration.they said ok n that was it, for me... i have no mud flaps, lug adapters, tint, no front license plate, no mufflers or cats ,and no inspection sticker. only thing out of that list ive been pulled over for is the tint. nothing else. knock on wood. SUPERSPORT- i dunno if you have weighed your truck lately but at etown sunday i was a 8414. with the tires touchin the concrete cause i was so wide. so i dunno but i would change that, also if you arnt really doing "commercial" work, and you have things that would fail you for inspection i would just re reregister it for 10k+ (cant put 10,001) gotta be something legit . good luck

Kyle, you go to DMV and say you need to register for 10,001 non-commercial. They give you the form, fill it out, pay, and there you go. I am not commercial and I registered in about 5 minutes for non-commercial.
