Any JerseyFolks into Increasing Mileage
A new person to forum asks: I want to see in anybody in the NJ-NY metro area is doing mods to increase mileage by decreasing fuel consumption. If so, what mods have you done? How have they worked out? I have a newly purchased 02 2500 5-speed, 2WD. In Princeton |

start with your basics, air intake, exhaust system, and pick a mild programmer or underhood box.

Not sure... I bought my truck slightly "pre-modded" with a 4" exhaust, but nothing else as far as I can tell... so far the best tank has returned a hair under 21 mpg... and that was with a bed load of firewood traveling 70mph and me making loud noises under every available overpass... ![]() Of course, when the other car gets around 45 mpg, 21 isn't that great... so I tned not to drive the truck unless I need it for something... ![]() Rest assured, I'm not looking forward to the next fill-up...

one of the most common packages is like mulisha said. a programmer that is only gonna give you around 65 hp like the Quadzilla XTZ+ is a great option.
