I just got back from a Texas run from Vegas to Dallas the southern route I averaged 18.1 mpg and I kept the tank full when I used an 1/8th of a tank I filled up at the truck stops and filled it slowly to eliminate evaporation and made sure no re fuelers where present, they churn up the fuel and create faster evaporation when fueling when pumping, the cost was from Vegas @ $ 3.259 when I left spots in Arizona $ 3.509, NM $ 3.609, TX $ 3.209 to $ 3.509 I did notice the notches on the handles for high, medium and low have been only two, high, medium, for some reason the manufacturers really like raping the diesel consumers I sometimes wish the truckers would start another convoy against the oil industry like they did in the sixties the states for minimizing the speed to 50 mph on the Hwy for trucks.
Just dreaming.
