Question Fuel tank module

Hi guys!! Does anyone know where I can get a new fuel tank module? Mine doesn't have the in tank pump, dealer said the replacement has pump on it. When we took the module out to clean it the screen on bottom tore, there is also a filter inside we would really just like to eliminate both of them.........has anyone heard or know if we can? Thanks

so you have an '02 24 valve, and you do or dont have the pump in the tank? (if you do not have the in-tank)the way to eliminate to big ol pickup assembly in your tank would be to run an aftermarket fuel system, with a new draw-straw. the stock fuel system not being nearly enough relaible to support the stock hp levels, there are alot of options out there, but if you do hook up a fp gauge to ur stock lift pump and you are pushing more than 6psi of fp @ WOT, then its still doing its job (you dont want to ever be under 6psi at wide open throttle, or under a load, you will fry your injection pump) so you dont necessarily need to go changing pumps on ur cummins to eliminate the pickup tube, just get on the vendors page and ask for a price quote for a draw straw for a 2002, preferabily 1/2" and that will hold you to any hp you bring your truck to! btw it is a very simple install, i have done one myself, considering you already have ur tank dropped. hope that helps-jake

I do no have a fuel pump in the tank. We are putting a fuel gauge and a FASS pump on my truck. Figured if we're going to do this we need to do it right. I don't plan on changing my hp, so which would be the best draw straw for stock hp? The only draw straw I've heard of is Vulcan. Thank you for your advice and sorry I wasn't clearer, not a whole lot of sleep last night! Take care

The FASS pump is not the one with the filters connected to it. It is just the pump itself. It pumps 95 gallons @ 16 psi, and will support hp levels from stock to 600 hp.

Thumbs up

with the FASS you will not need the sock or stuff on the end of the stock pick up tube. Vulcan's draw straw would be added insurance, even if it is not necessary for your application.

When I worked fleet maintenance we used to open the fuel cap and then pull off the fuel filter and use air to intensionally "blow" the sock off the end of the pick up tube. We changed the fuel filter often enough not to worry about the filter plugging. Even on the gassers we changed the fuel filter about every other oil change, our drivers didn't always fill up at our tank and we didn't want to chance down time.

that is the cheapar alternative, i prefer the pump with filters, and it is a very simple install, without having to mess with your stock filter housing...
