Question Advice

I NEED SOME ADVICE....SHOULD I GET A VULCAN RELOCATION KIT AND A BOSCH TRANSFER PUMP OR SHOULD I GET THE FASS HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP? MY HUSBAND IS LEANING TOWARD THE RELOCATION AND BOSCH BECAUSE IF IT SHOULD HAPPEN TO BREAK AGAIN (MY TRUCK IS AN '02) WE COULD GO TO AUTO PARTS STORE AND GET ANOTHER FUEL PUMP.

I have the relocation kit, with a Holley Blue pump. I used the stock lift pump for awhile before I got the holley. Worked fine, but Holley has better pressure of course. If it ever dies, I can swap pumps along the highway with a couple wrenches, if necessary.

The fass system is nice, but much more money. It's all in how much you want to spend. I like the cheaper price of the Vulcan relocation kit, and the ability to swap pumps quickly in a pinch.

If you get a Walbro pump you can install it and forget about it. The pump will outlast the rest of the truck.

Glacier Diesel Power

These pumps can flow at 100psi all day, you must regulate it around 18-20 psi. That is why it will run forever.

If you're going to relocate it then I would do it right the first time. I went the route your talking of, but it failed shortly after. I ended up spending more money in the long run.

I have a holley but I would say a fass or walbro would be the best.

if you are going to do the big line relocate, than get rid of the stock lp and go with a holley. that is what i run and have had no problems for a long time now. if you are rich and just have a lot of money laying around(unlike me) than fass is your system. the walbro falls somewhere in between and is till a perty new fuel setup for our trucks but seems to be proving itself. good luck!

The Walbro pumps have proven themselves on many other applications long before the FASS came around. Walbro gets my vote for reliability.
