Reputable diesel shop in Omaha?
I recently upgraded from an 85 Chevy pickup with 6.2l diesel to 06 Dodge 2500. I must say i'm loving having power now! The truck I bought was purchased cheaply as it seems to have an intermittent knock/rattle/thunk when accelerating, and a vibration from 1600-1800rpm in all gears. I put in a gallon of Diesel Kleen on a tank fill-up and that seems to have gotten rid of a lot of of the knock, but the vibration remains. I did some research, and unplugged the "FCA", which made the knock appear all the time, and very loudly, which makes me think it's not the "FCA". I didn't do my research before I purchased the truck, else I probably wouldn't have, due to the $450+-apiece injectors. So obviously it's rather expensive to just throw parts at it til the problem is solved. Can anyone recommend a good diesel shop in Omaha that can troubleshoot this issue? I never had to have anyone else work on my 85 Chevy, as it didn't really give me an issue. One of my coworkers suggested Diesel Specialties on B street. Anyone have experience with them? |

Diesel Specialities doesnt work on trucks anymore from what I heard. I guess they just work on pumps etc and of that sort. We go to Midwest Diesel in Beemer. Great guys talk to Dave.

It is a drive but when I originally had my DDP 90's installed I drove to Beemer to have them do it. Great job and i was actually suprised at the bill!! I love small town pricing! Very reasonable!

Local gut down here put my clutch in for $350. Did it quick and right. St joe diesel quoted me $720 for the install but those guys make Corky look smart. I'll never do business there.
