I need to know for sure if they can get into my computer and turn on my radio controls, built in amp on my stereo, and my cab lights. When the swap was done those are the three things the other ECM didn't have so it's no reading them. But I have those options on my truck so I would like to use them. Especially the cab lights. I miss those more than anything. I was told by Carl they should be able to tell the computer to read them.

I talked to three service schedulers from Baxter and got a no , yes, and I don't really know. WTF! I put my cab lights on after I bought the truck so I know those can or should be able to be turned on. The wiring is all good , I checked that already.

I was going to call or go into Performance in the morning and see what they think. Ask your tech friend what he thinks. Also we have a Star Scanner where I work and if that is the tool used to turn all this stuff on that would be sweet but I think they have to reflash the computer???

oh that sucks. i can't beleve they would have a computer run that kind of stuff. i guess if you can't get a reflash or some thing like that to work you mite have to wire them to work manualy like the old trucks do.
i know i can't live with out my cab lights lol

Thanks Mike. There is a guy that works in the garage where I work that used to work on the Dodge side at Woodhouse and he believes it should be able to be done!! Just go into the computer and turn it on!! Maybe the boys at Baxter were just having a bad day!

ok talked to my buddy, he does believe it can be done...i told him what had happened and such and he said as long as he tells us what exactly we need to know (swapped the computer from another truck and stuff and all those details) It shouldn't be a problem, the service writer i was going to talk with is on vacation this week. I was going to brief him on it so if you came up here he didn't try to do a "normal" ticket on it and just say steering wheel controls and stuff are inoperative and all that...shoot me a PM with a number and i can give you all the info....he's aware of the twins and all that and stuff...i have more info..but i hate typing...shoot me a number and I'll call you tonight and fill you in some more.
