Cedar Lake Speedway Bus race

Well that time has come again and on May 20th the diesel buses will be crawling around the track, well not ours. Once again Cedar Lake has bought school buses and handed them out to the area schools in the annual bus race. Last year for those that were here will remember we had a DT360 that rocked, two 10 lap races and we lapped the field, Brian lapped some buses more than once, winning both events, and the second race he had to start in the back of the field. This year we hope to repeat, although all the buses this year are International's they are all the same 75 passenger lead sleds, but we are going to make the best of this electronic nightmare, work has already begun.
The invite is on for all who would like to come to my place in the afternoon, party with us, head over to the race and come back to my place and party some more.
As always I will supply the food and suds, for those crashing I have 80 acres in which you can camp or just crash in the house or even the garage, it has carpet, A/C, TV, stereo..........etc.
I am not a shy person, we are just a bunch of diesel heads getting together to watch some action. The track is located 2 miles from my home, and race starts at 6:30pm and is over by 10pm.
If you are intrested PM me and I will get you directions............it is a blast. Later Jim.

I am bringing this back to the top, along with an update.
The bus is done, they took out 4800 pounds of it and I added a little zip, well when you compare it to another bus it has more than before.
For those that know me personally and have been out here for the race, know we have a blast...........from what I gather from PM's and such we will have 30+ people out here plus kids.........it should be a great time......later Jim.

The 2 bus roll overs were pretty sweet! The one was staged, they rolled it over off a dirt berm. The second one was by far the best! That was NOT planned. That tweaked the heck out of the bus! The driver stopped out after the race and said that it was twisted pretty bad!
