I was going to mention this to everyone here but I wasn't sure if it would be appropriate or not. But I'm still planning on being at the GTG's, even though I'm banned from DTR. Looking forward to meeting up with you guys.

99Cummins, me and Pack Mule are going to caravan from Harrison up to Carthage and take 71 north, so if you want to meet up with us and follow, that would be cool.

Here's the info guys (copied from DTR):

JANUARY 13 at the Casa Azteca Restaurant, 117 N. Centennial Ave., Nevada MO

Its Tex-Mex menu, the gal at the Chamber of Commerce said a person can fill up for around $8-10 a person..and that they have their Chamber luncheons there 'cause the foods really good.
They have a bar , and a LARGE parking lot in back (gravel).
The restaurant sits on Business 54 just est of 71. They said they have a large sign and its hard to miss. We have the meeting room reserved and it holds 65 people, so bring the families along too!

The 'agenda" is as follows.. or at least a few of the things we should try and accomplish.

1130-1200-- arrive,order,get seated and BS
noonish,-- open meeting and welcome new members and discuss/accept nominations for Chapter Pres. (DTR stuff)
1300'sh-- discuss activities for the coming year, try and get some sort of regular meeting schedule/place agreed on( who is bringing what to Pistols welcome home party)
1400'sh go out and "ooo/awwww' about each others trucks( please keep the bragging to a minimum)
1430 leave quickly before Nevada PD arrives, please no-one stiff our waitress....
1500 bail out whomever did not leave fast enough... ( this one is the reponsibility of our new Chapter pres......)

Again, this is a DTR Chapter meeting but everybody is welcome. I think hanging out with other diesel folks is more important than what site we are on. We've got a chance to have a really great group of people to meet up with a few times a year for sled pulls, dyno days, and track days.

where is Nevada MO? I'm just south of St Louis. I need to get out and do something like this. Been wrapped up building a house for the past few months.

It was cancelled due to ice. We are going to reschedule for March. Haven't decided on the place yet.

Funny you mention that. They are scheduling an Ozark Black Out all diesel race at Ozark International Raceway. John will come down for that and set-up the dyno on June 9th but I have to find out more about it from the track owner who just recently had a new baby and has been out of the loop for a few days. racing, dynoing, all diesels, it doesn't get any better. Especially if there is BBQ involved. Although a local group gtg at John's would be cool to.

Track owner says June 2nd would work better since BTS is having an open house and will have Fords in from all over the country that are wanting to come up and race that weekend. If you know any diesel shops that want to commit to sponsoring or advertising Pm me for the track owners cell number. We might could possibly make this a pretty big deal. The track owner is open to ideas and suggestions.

Forget BTS, let's show up anyway. They'd love that!

I'm looking forward to the dyno and race GTG's with you guys. Should be fun.

We've also rescheduled our DTR eating and visiting gtg for March 3rd at the Casa Azteca in Nevada. Starting at noon or a little before in the parking lot of course. Everyone is welcome. Hopefully it won't ice it out again.
