I hate to say it but 5spds and junk with any power behind them... Look for a good 6 spd swap if possible, otherwise for stock application our shop rebuilds tranny's and stands behind them, Carlson Automotive in Duluth, MN. We build and rebuild tranny's for just about anything, and it wouldn't be the first diesel in the doors.

That's about one of the funniest things I've read in a while. The 6spds (NV5600) are getting harder and harder to find parts for. The NV4500 has parts everywhere...

I've seen and heard horror stories of the five speed manual letting loose.. There's a reason the HO got the 6 spd... I may be wrong but thats just what i've learned. Otherwise for speed on the track a well built Auto is the ticket for sure.
