Is that 2 center sections welded together, is that what they call the laminated flex plate?

The truck is great. Im not romping on it yet, but its pretty obvious it has a trans and timing done. Only thing now is that when i put it in park tonight it made a grinding weird noise really briefly, like a not e ven a second long....sorta bugging me... Charles any input? doesnt do it going in any other gears or anything.

BBram-yeah the truck moves fine, shifts into all the gears, If it didnt make that little quick noise when i put it into park you I wouldnt have any concerns whatsoever

You need to get the shifter linkage and bushing replaced ASAP!!! You maybe hanging up in between reverse and park and the parking paw is not fully engaging....

Charles-I noticed that when i waited a second to put it into park, it didnt do it, Where is the best place to get that linkage and bushing?

Charles, When I contacted the guy I got mine from he said some of the TQ's needed to have the hole 'deburred' that they were slightly larger than the hole..... AND - if the DA#$%*@$$ thing is LAMINATED ( ![]() ) then how can it meet the SFI specs ???

'93 D250 CC auto, 18.5cm w/30 psi - 32 psi w/TC locked, 366 spring w/1 turn clipped, power screw bottomed - backed off 1 turn, modified Ol Smokey's power pin, smoke screw fully out, hat modified to get pin higher - still smokes, '94 trans w/clutches and some hard parts, 4510 w/4 1/2" intake and heat shield, grid htrs mia, 4" dp into 5" pipe to single 5" stack, 285's rear 265's front |
