Must be they are starving for funds in this great state!

It's 35% here in tx, but unlimited for all other windows except the windshield where it can't go below the A/S line, I had 5% all around, but DOT pulled me over, and I put it to 35% and got it waived.

however,

I have a buddy with double 5% on the rear doors, rear window, 5% on the front doors and 35% on the windshield with a 5% eyebrow that comes wayyy down the windshield,, he's never been pulled over for tint... WTF?

Tryed to flirt with the officer. I think you should have been ticketed for driving a dodge.

Is there a limit to the amount of times you can be ticketed for the same tint? Asked another way... can you get ticketed every day till you take it off or can you pay it once and be done with it?

So, let me get this right. You guys KNOW you are breaking the law by having tint that is too dark, and you're complaining about it? I don't get it. The law is the law whether you agree with it or not. The way I see it, you've got two choices. A: You leave it on and possibly keep getting tickets and stop complaining about it. 2: Get tint that IS legal and don't worry about it ever again. Now, don't go and get all mad at me because I'm stating the obvious. I'm just saying what most everyone is thinking. And there are other reasons for the tint laws other than bringing in money.

ive been pulled over for tint 2 times, loud exhaust 1 time, unsafe start once. Why dont they just start catching crack heads and rapist and quit wasting their time on stupid . Luckily they cant pull me over for smoke...i tend to "tint" their windows when they get behind me. hahaha

I hear what you are saying. How many cops went into police academy wanting to be all bad and all that and have been reduced to giving people citations for tinted windows, rolling through stop signs, loud exhaust, license plate light out and all that. I can't say for sure but I bet it has a lot to do with politics in the department. I welcome comments and responses and appreciate when the cops get the bad guys!

NO !
We're complaining about the fact that you can tint your windows LEGAL where you live and drive to another state and get a ticket for too dark a tint !
I've gotten 2. BUT when I showed up in court, and insisted the officer show up also, then showed the judge my truck passed my state inspection - he gave the officer a dirty look and threw out the ticket.

I beat the officer out and left before he could get into his car and catch me on something else.
