Angry Ouch

It's only been 41 mins 37 seconds and my still hurts!! Believe it or not i didn't even get a kiss.

$112.01 to fill up today. Went 336 miles on this tank. Fuel per gal was $4.09 for b5. With my tires (285's) not taken into account, i got 12.3 MPG.

I made 3 trips hauling gravel. Roughly 30 miles one way, or roughly 120 miles total. Empty (only truck and trailer) i weighed about 10k lbs. Combined weight coming back lowest was 16,200 lbs, and most was 17,400 lbs.

Guess i need to get to the bottom this pretty quick!!!

So who else hasn't gotten a kiss from your fuel supplier lately ? ? ? ? ?? ? ? ?

I always fill up at 1/2 tank that way I can pre-mix my additives in a jug and just pour in an fill up.. So every time I fill up its 17 gallons. Last fill up was monday @ 4.19 a gal for a $71.38 I'll probably need to fill up early tomorrow and I just seen the price this morning go up to $4.29.. My truck is getting really bad mileage as well. Unloaded I'm only getting 13.5 MPG on average.....

In good news, US oil demand went down by 1% last month (that's a big deal, it almost never goes down) That has caused crude to drop back down below $100 per barel. I guess at this point I will appreciate even the small steps.
(side note for all those who believe that some how all the extra money we have been paying is going to George W. , oil executives, or anyone other than OPEC. This is a little more FACTUAL proof of supply and demand. The demand went down, the price followed right behind...)

I can still get it for $3.85 and I got 25mpg all interstate last week, checked by hand, and I get 19.5 city, 4wds may look good, but 2wd will beat you on fuel mileage any day.

oh I forgot to add they only go up!! Most the time the price will rise a little every day.

My dad asked me the other day if I was going to sell my truck.... My answer "HE!! NO" It sucks paying higher fuel prices but I don't want another gasser truck.

I get 17-18 around town and 19 on the highway in my 4x4 and thats with 315's. Ha. Fuel here is about $3.94, sucks to fill up but I am still making out better than if I was still driving a gasoline truck just as much and working it as hard.

My buddy and I have been doing an experiment the last couple of weeks. We've been driving around like old grandpas and keeping the bost to 10PSI and below. I'm also running my TST on the economy setting 3/2.

I'm up to 21.1MPG on the stupid over head and I'm waiting till my next fill up to hand calculate it. I can see he huge difference. I'm almost to 300 miles and I am just a hair below 3/4 of tank.

My buddy has the same setup and and he is getting 23.3MPG on the over head.

The only difference is he is 30,000 miles and I'm only at 20,000.

It sucks driving around slow everywhere, but so far I appear to be gaining MPGs out of doing it.

I'm also running 63MPH on the freeway.
