Venting....Dumb People Driving Diesels
I headed up to Deep Creek for the weekend to get away. Had the Wifes Cousin following us in her Ford Focus. We were somewhere west of Sidling Hill out on 68, around 9-10pm and out of nowhere I see something huge right on her back bumper as we were headed up one mountain. and I mean inches to spare. We werent doing 55pmh, but doing 10 over the speed limit in the fast lane doing 75mph pulling this mountain. She got all panic'd and swerved over into the slow lane almost hitting a car next to her. Then this A Hole gets up on my . I get over passed the car on my right and get out of his way. and it ended up be some punk driving a lifted 3rd gen cummins, with stacks and was running with just fog lights on. I didnt have cell reception or I would have called State Police. So coming home today past Cumberland, East Bound, Cruising around 70mph with traffic, in the fast lane. Out of no where a White Superduty flys up behind me, gets so close to my back bumper I couldnt see his hood at all. Rolled some coal, and he backed off....Came up on me again and I get a spot to get over....Some young Teenager on a Cell Phone, pass's me, slows down and is trying to get me to race in traffic at 70mph. wtf? Whats with all these Punks with Diesels, thinking they are king sh*t and own the road? I hardly ever travel any distances other then local and this was 2 inccidents in 3 days on the same road that could have killed someone. End of Venting Session Rick

I live in the mountains and this was a while ago but seeing as we have venting thread I will bring it up. A guy in a lifted blue Dodge Cummins Diesel, going west on highway #3, hit a Fawne with his tire. He was playing with a white Ford old junker being stupid the two of them, neither one of them stopped to finish off the animal. I had a fire axe there and walked a quarter mile to do the deed. Hitting an animal is easy enough to do, driving like a Jerk, and then leaving is a true coward. Dam you are right I also feel much better now.

with the truck market going through the floor it allowed younger generations to buy trucks. then they have no bills and just spend their money on the truck. they never learn how to drive let alone be respectful to others. i was going through the harbor tunnel the other day with a gen2 in front of me. driver was 21 at the oldest. rollin coal through the in tunnel. at 1 am with maybe 1 other truck in there i'm ok with it. but this was rush hour traffic. i backed off to 20mph. then when i cleared the tunnel told the MDTA officer and he was pulled over shortly there after

i dont know if i should be offended cause im 23 and have a diesel but i bought it cause of my boat and car trailer and iv had it for 2 years and diesel wont be the new rice cause once they blow it up they will move back to there rice burners cause they will see the cost of the repairs and upkeep on these diesels and i had a guy come up on my g/f on 83 then my so i slowed down and he wouldnt back off so i just stayed doing 75 and he kept stickin on my for 5 miles so i brake checked him then he went around and almost took off the front end of my truck so i backed off then i passed him later on and soon after he was on my again he followed me into pa and all the way into york he followed me into a gas station and sta in his truck then he got out and started to walk up and talk sh!t then said he was a pa cop i told him to get his @$$ back into his truck befor i slapped the dogsh!t out of him and beat his if he dont leave and if he was a cop why was he tailgating and driving recklessly in md so he decided to get in my face and stuff saying he should have me arrested he decided to leave after i got the baseball bat out of my truck and had my gf call the cops

2. Grow up, instead of letting someone pass you, you decide to slow down in front of them and brake check them, and then wanna pull out a baseball bat and act all tough. If you were so afraid for yours and gf's lives you would have just left and got away from the guy, not try to be the badass.

I am 25 and bought a diesel because thats what I wanted. I dont feel I need a better reason than that. Ive always loved them because my father is a diesel mechanic and owned them as well and besides what other type of engine can produce 400 hp and still get 17 mpg! I do agree that there is alot of spoiled punk kids out there that cant drive and definetly dont belong in a diesel pickup but if you were to put them behind the wheel of a festiva would still be just as much of a problem. I myself like to have fun in my truck just as much as the next guy but I believe there is a time and a place and on an interstate loaded with traffic is not the place. We get it from our fathers telling us all the stories about their muscle cars they owned when they were our age and we feel the same way now they did then. They were the ricers of their generation. There were just less people on the roads then and more common sense behind the wheel.
