Lift pumps

let me start this by saying i have done my research and i know whats out there. more or less looking for opinions here.

truck has 106k on it, i bought it used, it was a work truck and not in the greatest shape. I want to upgrade the lift pump before its too late. it felt like it was bucking a lil today goin down the highway when i mashed it....... i dunno maybe it was just me.

while the airdog and FASS systems are nice and seem wonderful. i'm a poor family man. and for a mostly stock daily driver i can't see the need to "optimized fuel" (unless yall talk me into it) i like the idea (and price) of the FASS DDRP. The raptor as well for a few extra bucks. Rick, IIRC you are running a Holley correct?

so for those of you with aftermarket lift pumps, please chime in with opinions/reviews

I wont try to sway you one way or another.

All the guys I know who ran Holley's eventually went to a AD or FASS whent he Holley died.

If you want to get anything from FASS or AD tho let me know and I can help you out

I've had two holley blues in mine. And the only reason I replaced the first one was because I thought it was dead, but turned out the internal screen was clogged. So it now works as my transfer pump for gas and diesel.

I ran a power wire directly to it where it mounted behind the t-case. so it is constantly running with the key. I by passed the factory lift pump and I'm running 1/2" line. I also run a pre-screen since I'm using a draw straw. which you dont have and you wont need it thanks to the factory "sock" on the end. With the spring stretched out I get 19-20psi at idle, highway around 65mph I see 15psi and Wide open with the computer turned all the way up I pull it down to 10-11psi. Its worked for me now 3 yrs and I'm happy with it. Swing by and I'll show ya what I did.

Rick
