Kansas (northeastern) But anyone welcome---ROUNDUP????

Hello fellow Kansan's,

It is ST Patricks day and Raining.

I am new to Cummins and this group but think it would be great to get some kind of roud up/ get together planned. I have seen where other groups are having convoys and going places. I am not sure it will work but thought it would be fun.
I don't really understand all the ad ons and such but would be fun to have a get together talk and make new friends. I have seen where a member in Olathe suggested going to drag races. Not sure that is my cup of tea but it is a start. Are there any of you near Lawrence or not more than an hour or two away that want to try and plan something? It could be as easy as just meeting and driving around, or a cook out. If I don't hear anything back I am guessing it just won't happend for our state or area.

No big deal just interested..... If you are two then..

let me know
thanks

I'm usually game... in deference to some of us southerners, perhaps something in Emporia.

emporia or el darado

either one sounds good...im game and would make it work just shoot out a few weekends for possibilities. SLK, Partriot Blue05 and myself all have ties to the same company and we could make a trip work.

My wife is from emporia and we will be down there next weekend for Easter, but I am not sure all of what emporia would have to offer to do. I haven't seen much to do down there unless you want to go to a teacher's college and drink. Just throwin' out possibilities but we could do somethin' at KCIR or somethin' out in Lawrence, maybe go check out FloorItDiesel seeing as I have never made it out there. Just let me know guys I am up for anything to get a little more activity in our chapter.

The reason I suggested Emporia was because of it's near equidistance from the two major metropolitan areas. Is there anything to do there??? I have no idea. We had a mini GTG with Dodgetruckworld there... there were only 3 of us. We had another GTG in Wichita and there were 8 or 9 trucks there. Shane probably had a fun day of driving... I know it's one long day when you drive to and from KC(or Wichita) in one day. I did it on Sunday.

John's shop(floor it diesel) is always a starting place. I know John but I'm not sure if he's planning on hosting any dyno days or taking his dyno out this year. As usual, he's uber busy and last I heard, he was in the process of moving to a larger shop.

If you guys are wanting to do a dyno day, I highly recommend trying to organize it with some of the other forums(TDR, DTR, CompD, DTW)... group rates can keep your dyno costs down... and those large turnouts can be...well, things can get interesting. I know that I could track down several "unaffiliated" trucks to come dyno if it was close to KC.

Any way we go in this large state, someone gets the hose on driving all day...

I'd be down with Emporia. As stated, it's halfway and I know they've got food and beer somewhere down there. Let's do it.

Seth, did your bro make it back from Padre alive? Tell him to call me.

He looked alive when I saw him on Sunday... just a little sunburnt and a little bruised from the mechanical bull.

Well with Diesel climbing to $4 +++++ I am all for half way. I don't think it matters about having things to do. It would be a gtg to talk meet people in the area talk shop have some food and plan other things. I guess having something to do is good too but what is the point I can do stuff at home. Lets get something rolling. Is there someone in Emporia that can find a good spot, ie a park or house or something cheap to rent?

My wife is a CPA and after April would be best. I am busy 1st weekend of May Pella Tulip Festival and May 21-25 Flordia, but other then that open....

Let me know

Kip
