Upholstery Shop in Wichita Area!!!!

Hey,

I'm wanting to get my wonderful driver's seat redone, new foam, replace the outer two fabric panels with i slight mod, and I'm looking for a good shop in the Wichita area!!!!!

Any ideas?????????????

I've talked to the guys at Unique Auto Upholstery on S. Seneca, and they seem like a good place, but don't know...

Any experiences or advice would be great!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
Winslow

I always had mine done by the guy that owns Anderson Automotive Upholstery.

He did mine one day while I was working at out at parks. Just did it right in the parking lot there. Looks real nice

Hey,

The guys at Unique said it would be a one day deal!! I hope they can do a good job and make me happy with it!!!! I'm going to have them do a little mod on the outer seat panel so it makes it a little wider at the back of it!!

My excited, nervous, and happy all at the same time!!

Later,
Winslow

Wow, sounds like your first time....

It can be hard letting your truck go....

Hope it goes as good as my first time did

Hey,

This is the second time letting someone else touch it!
First time was at the alignment shop, and it still pulls to the right!!!!!

I'm not use to outsourcing anything, or trusting shops, but upholstery isn't something I can do!!!

I'm mostly nervous that I'll like the seat, b/c right now I wake up in the morning thinking about how I hate that seat!!!!!!!

Thanks for the support though this difficult time!!!!

BTW- You know any good alignment shops?????

Later,
Winslow

How badly does it pull???

A vehicle should track to the right so if you were to fall asleep at the wheel you won't drift into oncoming traffic....

Hey,

It's not bad, just enough to drive me nuts!!! My '75 Chevy tracks straight down the road!

I've heard that fall asleep thing before, but I don't like my truck favoring one side!

Thanks,
Winslow

We always use one shop. Its the same shop that Andover Collision Center and Steven's Toyota uses.

My moms truck pulls to the left and it drives me nuts. It pulls hard enough that if you drive over 200 miles your arm starts to hurt from holding it back.

Had it in 7 times.. Can you say lemon. They finally quit calling us back !!!!

But I can't remember what the name of that shop is!

best bet is to take it to a shop and tell them what you want....

the only shop I've dealt with in Wichita is Tires Plus on W. Kellogg but only for some brake issues.... I do my own tires and my last alignment was years ago at a shop in my hometown and the truck still tracks the way I like....

Hey,

Got my truck back from Unique and spent $265!!!! And I'm still not happy with it! They did a good job on the fabric work, but the foam on the inside (right side of seat) still feels like it's soft there and I'm leaning to the right!!!!!!! They did a good job on the outer foam, except for there is a "hole" to the left of the stitching...

I'm really starting to hate this truck... thinking maybe I should have gotten something else! I really like the Cummins, but the Dodge part sucks!!!!! All I wanted was a comfortable seat, why is that so hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I should take it back in there and see what he has to say... I hate looking like a picky SOB, but I just wanted it done right!

Later,
Winslow
