I'm just not ready to drop the money in my tranny yet. I was just looking at a goerend 48re and it was $3750 base price for a rebuilt one. Good up to 400hp. I know I can make 400hp with just pump mods exhaust and intake.....

I don't want to break it!

But i gotta hit the hay see ya later. Good luck on the seat thing.

Yeah they don't lke power at all. My "heavy duty" tc is slipping while shifting into third and I dont have anything other than my starwheel turned up, a straight pipe, and an intake!

Don't know much about torque converters though. Sounds like yours has had issues...

But damn it so much money for that Tranny!

Hey,

No my 5 speed has been good so far, I'm just going from what other people say!

Went to the shop today and talked to him. I have an appointment to go back there next Thursday and hopefully get it fixed!

I talked to a few other shop in town and no one completely rebuilds the foam bottom, they work with the old one!! One said they can put some new foam on top and put a new foam piece on the side for $150!!! I'm going to explain that the guys at Unique and see what they say!!!

I never dreamed getting a seat redone would have been such an issue!!!!

Later,
Winslow

there's an old guy at Lyons Kansas who's really good but he wants your seat for at least 2 days, I've seen him take some wore out pos's and make them like new, works out of his house, he should be the only guy in the phone book for Lyons

Hey,

Thanks!! If stuff doesn't work with these guys, I'll look him up!!

I don't understand want would be so hard about reforming a new bottom?!?! I know it takes some time and effort, but it's not like I won't pay as I'll give whatever (within reason) it takes to get it comfy!!!!! I drive a lot and need something good!!!!!!!!

But no shop we talked to (Unique, Downey's, StyleCraft-recommend by Davis-Moore parts manager) said they rebuild the entire thing, just repair the outfoam with softer foam that would match!! Downey's was the only one who said he could put some new foam over the old to beef it up?!?!?!?!?!?

I don't know, it's driving me mad!!!!!!!!! I can't believe this madness!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
Winslow

Seriously man If you want I'll run out to parks and see if I can get the number for Anderson Automotive upholstery.

Last time I saw him he was refoaming an entire set of seats for like a sand rail. He will hook you up with what you need I'm sure.
