I have a 96 ram diecel and am in need of having a new injection pump installed. I dont think this is a task for me so i thought I would see who on here has a shop and what it would cost. I live in CR but can take the truck most anywhere.

There has to be someplace in CR...I'll see what I can come up with but I do know, if you get desperate you can always haul it to Des Moines and have Area Diesel install it...
I can still drive it so If I need to I can take it anywhere... Just have to shoot it with either to get iot fired and cant let it get below 1200 rmp or it stalls... then reppeat either to start... what a pain.

I have a 96 dodge ram, when I bought it i got it cheap because it wouldnt start with out holding throttle and would stall if let idle. All I had to do was set the low idle screw up to spec. If it actually has to have ether then you got other problems, but if it's not getting enough fuel it wont start either. PM me for my phone if you want me to explain how to do it. I work in north eastern iowa, and live in NW illinois. I have two p pump trucks and everyone makes them out to be alot harder to work on than they actually are.
The idle screw was my first fix. I kept adjusting it up to make it idle unfortunatly it was a short term fix. I have spoken with the guys out at sankots and they said they would remove and replace the pump for around $350 and I found a new pump from a company in Florida for $850 now I just need to save up enough pennies to get it done.
