Might Be Moving To Iowa

Howdy ya'll. Might be moving up to the Des Moines area with my mom either later this year or early next and just had a few questions.

Is there alot of things to do around Des Moines? Truck pulls, shows, off-roading?

Lift laws or emissions laws?

What is the young to middle age crowd do around these parts for fun?

There is plenty to do. They just started a pulling org that has pulls within a short time from DSM. There are places to go hang out such as bike nights and stuff. not many diesel orientd things but we have been trying.

to add on to that, the lift law i saw here (on many lift law sites) was that a vehicle cant exceed 13' 6" which is HUGE. As far as emissions........PPPSSHHHH what are emissions?????

As far as young to middle aged people, first of all how old are ya? I know up in my area and in downtown des moines there a place called the "loop" where a bunch of people from about 16 to maybe 25 or 30 cruise around within a 5 or 6 block range and hang out with people in parking lots and shoot the breeze etc. Theres enough to do if ya look hard enough lol

Bars in Ames

It'd be primarily ISU students BUT ISU is an Ag school so there are a lot of the "country" crowd and hot ISU women

The ricers and the police do not like my old 92. I kinda made the entire loop dark and the boys in uniform followed me back to my shop to make sure it was "parked".
