This weekend's storms

How did everyone fare with these stupid storms? We lost several trees, lost power and are still out, lost fence due to a neighbor's shed going through it at mach 12, and a whole lot of water issues. There are morton buildings missing ends and rooves. Elkhart got hit real bad, and Bondurant got hit just as bad as us. How did you guys come out? Alright I hope.

This is getting EFFING REDICULUS! Is Iowa EVER going to catch a break????

Winds were blowing so effin hard that water was blowing right through the door handles and window/door edges.... a whole lotta my neighbors lost sheds. There are A LOT of trees down around me. A bedliner for a Canyon ended up in our yard...none of my immediate neighbors have one and i have a feeling it traveled nearly a mile.

We lost power for a good 5 hours. There was a bad accident on 35S and I could see the traffic backed up most of the night. I saw on the news today that there was flooding again which makes sense since there was a river flowing through our yard.

What p-es me off most, though, isn't this strom..it's that I'm hearing Bush doesn't think CR deserves any disaster relief...WTF!?..."Iowan's are strong, they'll bounce back." Yeah, we will but a little money would make it go faster. Guess next time we should stand on our roofes (rooves?) and beg for money rather than pick up the pieces....

We got plenty of retards!!! But recovery is going as good as can be expected. Most people just want definite answers so they can either rebuild or move on with their lives. Sorry to hear about your bad luck out west though!!

I don't blame them for wanting an answer. I mean should it even be a question for our government? We all pay those great tax dollars out. Oh, whoops, I should have said us legal citizens pay our portion. Did you guys hear how many illegles they just busted in Iowa? My friend in Texas told me about it and he was astounded that more are getting caught in Iowa than Texas. LOL
