FWIW, I don't think the Chap Prez's need to organize everything but they should get with the members that are putting things together and help promote (not taking a stab at Zach, just merely stating what I think in general).

One thing to consider (littleo92) is that CumminsCrazed is in Mason City whereas you, wrencher, Cummin not Strokin and myself are in the Des Moines area....not to mention $5 fuel...

"Hopefully" it will keep on falling. But that may be wishfull thinking. Thought about filling up our two Petes but $2100 woould be hard to swallow at once. We dont drive them too much, just job to job and then me moving trailers and manlifts around.

Thanks for the FYI on Diesel Bud !!!
I run a business with three trucks so I kind of watch the prices to da

and yes i agree that he does not have to set stuff up all the time and make every trip read the post again!!

Mason city is only a two hour drive to DM or vise versa compared to a drive to Rochester for us at 3.5. Rochester is south of minneapolis about an hour and half,

thats still 3.5 hours from DM farther then that if you are coming from the very south western part of the state that I now of a couple of guys wanting to do something but do not want to travel 5hrs to do it!! That's in the minnosota chapter area what since does that make I thought this was a Iowa chapter, not sayin that you can'nt do something with them have you talk to the minn chapter about doing a joint venture?? may be do something more centerally located so there would be more people that may be make that trip instead

WOW, some guy calls Zach out over the weekend and I miss it. LOL Hey, I'm not here to be pres because I don't want the same title as what Osama Obama will have in less than 3.5 months. LOL I just want to get some things rolling for the diesel community in Iowa. If you want to drive from MN then come on down and bring your friends. I realize fuel costs are high but what can you do? I guess if you know about something a month and a half you could save each week to be able to go. I really need to try that. LOL But anyway, I don't have a date yet for this deal but tomorrow morning Eric and I are going to meet with Cory at Area Diesel to see what we can get put together.

I know we will have a few guys traveling from out of town, or I hope so. LOL So I am working of setting up an after hours thing where there will be free food, some type of camping, whether it is tent or you bring your camper, games, maybe horse shoes, volley ball, what ever, and or drinking and hanging out. That way it isn't a real burdon for people to have to haul butt back home after the show deal. Give me input if you want guys. I want this to be as big as we can get it in the little time we have. Zach, if you want to come I will even get you 10 gallons of fuel so you can come to our neck of the woods. Then you can bring your truck with you irregardless. If anyone has any ideas throw them out there.

I dont think fuel money will be an issue now as im making between 450 and 500 a week at work. Can i bring my 83 C10 to the show anyway, just so people can see both my rides?

Also, the event im looking at will be more of a mid October event where we could do camping maybe like on the Mississippi river and then do a cruise down the great river road to look at fall foliage and some of the locks and dams or something. Make it a weekend event for the whole family. Thats kinda my plan anyway...
