California vs EPA Lawsuit

Well, I just saw today that Iowa joined this BS lawsuit...do they seriously think they can impose stricter emissions standards? The state is primarily farm land and the farmers are already hurting...don't think they're gonna want to pay big $$$ for added emissions garbage that's going to increase fuel consumption...

What have you guys heard or what do ya think?

First I've heard of it. Sounds like a way to make up some budget shortfall to me. Have fun trying to inforce it around here. Our city busses throw more smoke than I do (unless I want more).

I say B.S to joining CA and the rest of the stupid states that joined in the lawsuit. I hope the EPA wins this one even though I'm no fan of the EPA or the tree huggers.

No, not necessarily..It does mean Iowa is interested in adopting stricter emissions standards. The Clean Air Act reads that other states can adopt California's emissions standards but, the EPA isn't allowing CA to have those stricter standards....

I think its the gov. just wanting to control more and more of our lives. If you ask me, they control way too much. Im all up for protecting the earth but they need to look outside the box like trains buses and those thousands of jets flying over our heads and figure out how to lower their emmissions. When they crack down on the semis, just think what that will do to their mileage, more fuel, more money to truck-- higher priced goods. Then we get the shaft as usual. I love politics

Yeah some other states like Mass have adopted California emissions standards. Man this is just dumb, you know who is paying for this wonderful legal mess....US!

Well I guess Mass did not want to feel lift out:

Massachusetts v. Environmental Protection Agency - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I mean honestly what standing did Taxachusetts have to bring this case? What POTENTIALLY rising sea levels all based on theory and speculation! I mean come on! I am sorry I am venting about my favorite commonwealth
