Well your definitely welcome to be a a part of the Iowa chapter

As far as the Smarty goes, you could try contacting mishkaya here on the forum. He lives in the Des Moines area and i know he has a smarty of 2 that he would probably be more than willing to let you load and unload to get the high idle feature. Try PMing him and see what he says.

If nothing else, i plan on purchasing one myself here pretty soon, and id gladly letcha use mine as well

I have borrowed a Smarty, done the same thing your looking to do and that high idle is a beautiful thing on cold days. Neighbors don't seem to be throwin me dirty looks anymore at 10:15 at night when I fire it up to leave for work at 10:30 either, that high idle kinda smooths out alot of the racket a 2nd Gen makes and you actually do get some heat quicker than before.

Do what I USED to do, chop down an ole broom stick, jamb it between the seat and the skinny pedal.....

Them electric seats make for a variable high idle, set it where ya wanna see the tach running at ....

I think you'll like Quad's high idle feature the best, it's the most practical for me anyway. Glad you got it sorted out.
