I am look for a really inexpensive CDT. We need it to move to move to Des Moines. I need some advice from club members; perhaps mechanics and such who could help me in my search. I remember reading some thred that had some Iowa mechanics in the sticks who could be of help, but can I find that thred again…Heck no! So, any help would be appreciated. I am going to load the household stuff in a big trailer and move at once. My very first job was with a "shade tree" mechanic (God Bless each and everyone of em) back when I was 13 and I know they come across some trucks that may lack a bed or something but runs well. Okay Iowa chapter help in my search for our first CTD

first off, welcome! secondly, a good place to start would be the autotrader website where you can put your location in and an option you want on the truck then do a search from there

Yeah, Auto Trader's about all I can think of as well...Not so common is "Wheels For You" (free) and there's another free mag. around Des Moines/Ames that usually has a couple Cummins'. If you are looking for old, like first gen old, you aren't gonna have much luck..

A quick search on autotrader.com for Millersburg, Iowa: Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com I like this one, low mileage 12 Valve: Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com 2000 Ram 2500 24V 4x4 for under $9,995 not bad: Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com Good looking ride: Cars For Sale: Car Details - AutoTrader.com There are dozens more, but this is just a starter list. I just selected a few. You can find alot on Autotrader, as well as many other used truck sites online. Also check ebay, and you can look online at the inventory of most dealers as well. Good luck!

Welcome! ![]() Not sure you'll find cheap on a CTD, but you can find good.. cars.com is another good source. Although, if you look at enough of those online car sites, you will see they share much of the same data.

If it wasn't for reverse being out, I would say I could just hook up my conversion F350 and do it, since you are only about 20 miles south of me... Unfortunately though, I couldn't hook up to any trailer right now with the trans like it is. I don't know of any currently, but take a look through the Hawkeye Trader, have seen them go through there for reasonable prices. You can also access them online and read the ads there.
