Thumbs down 2 quick questions

well i seem to have a LITTLE electical problem..also known as my worst nightmare!!! i have all brake lights EXCEPT the driver side brake. i have a blinker and a reverse light on that side....but no brake. i have brake,reverse,and blinker on passenger side. but just no brake light on driver. and its not the bulb
question 2. ive been reading about the govenerspring. ive seen the threads about just addin a washer to it but i also read that u can tighten it by "clicking" it???......if so how do u do that

Are you sure it isn't the bulb that's bad? There's 2 filaments in one bulb usually and one can be burned out...

If i remember correctly the brake and turn signal are on the same wire. I'm bettin that it's a bad bulb. pull the bulb out of the side that works and put it in the side that doesn't and see if it works then.

sorry guys i got to go to work right now but ill get on that sig. and no it isnt the bulb. both filiments are fine and we put in a brand new bulb and still nothing. but my truck is a '98 12v compeltly stock

2 quick questions

mock12v,

Tony was right about the 1 wire for both.
Have you put a test light on the wire?
If it doesn't work there you may need to go up to the steering column to find out what the heck------
Where is home? Can you get to somebody for assistance?

i live in bethalto il. and i looked in the mirror the other night and it looked like it was lit up???...but ill have to find out tonight

it also could be the contacts in the taillight itself, does the base of the old bulb where the contacts are lookmelted/burned? Try pulling the contacts to the rear and take a pencil eraser and clean the contacts.
