Lee County 4H Fair is having truck pulls on July 27th, I think. They have had the pulls for the last couple of years. Diesel class is pretty much open to alcoholic, 8000#, Blocked rears...Other stuff too. I will get more info Friday.

I will keep you posted.

BTW, Except the time of the 4H fair, they are open to outside people renting it. They are the POOREST county fair in IL but have: Horse barns, Cow Barn, Sheep and Goat Barn, Poultry Barn, Big indoor arena, Inclosed dirt track, Outdoor dirt track, Lots of room (around 5 acres, for you city folk, a little less than a city block, I think ). Can be rented for around $500 with use of kitchen. They must have electric hook-ups cause twice a year these people that have silverstreams (cigar shaped campers?) come and have a get-together.

I should have more info on Friday.

Jon

Dates: July 26 and the 27th. Tractors the 26th and trucks the 27th

Diesel 4x4= Weight to Be Announced, $180 1st, $155 2nd, $130 3rd, $100 4th, $90 5th, $80 6th, $65 7th.

$20 entry fee. Additional $20 for pit passes. Illinois State Puller rules apply.

Diesel Stock 4x4 Rules:
1. Weight will be announced at Pull
2. Truck must be street legal, licensed and insured.
3. Must have stock fuel system.
4. Must have cast iron engine block and heads, headers and aluminum intakes allowed. Must have closed exhaust system.
5. Must have stock suspension, blocked axles allowed.
6. High point of hitch can not exceed 26 inches.
7. No hanging front end weight. Weights must be in the bed of the truck or tightly secured.
8. Must have D.O.T. tires, no cut tires or duals.
9. No Nitrous Oxide. No propane.
10. Seal belts are required and must be worn during pull. NO RIDERS.
11. Drivers must be 16 years old. 16 and 17 year olds must have signed parental consent.

Might be more this year in premiums. Only 1 class for diesels, and if memory serves me correctly, there were about a dozen diesel. The ones that one last year had chips. I will be going. Great if we all showed up and had a cook out or something.

I will post more when I get some more info.

Keep us posted on this Jon!

Josh
