To Swank
Swank, I've been in touch with Muddy about attending the Bombers meet in March. He suggested I contact you about some things I would like to have taken care of, time permitting. 1. Dowel pin. 2. Set up pump. 3. Sticky throttle on initial push down on throttle. Muddy suggested having the fuel pin altered. Have not heard of this before, so what does it do? He also suggested a Piers gov. spring kit. Presently my truck cruises at 65@ 1700rpm, tops out at 2600rpm. What would be the atvantages to the change in gov. springs. My truck is a 1990 with recently rebuilt pump, Compound turbo& retipped injectors Dyno'd@ 199.What do I need to bring to expedite matters? bluedodge |

Hey Muddy... How about the instructions on how to get to Harold's place? Or better yet a map to it... It sounds like we are going to have quite a crowd down there... I guess Harold's place is quite large... Well keep the group here informed please! I don't want to miss this one!

For the Idaho bash, I will have a set of Bosch 230hp injectors that I want to sell. They have less than 3000 miles on them. These are for the 92-93 trucks and didn't work worth diddly in my 90. I will also bring over the complete parts list for doing an ATS 48RE transmission transplant if anyone is interested in such a challenge. Works great, but it took while to get the commander set up the way I wanted it. It's the first one that has been placed in a 1st gen. truck. Will fill you in on what did and didn't work. Looking forward to the meet.........bluedodge

Well... If everyone is going to fix something... Hopefully someone has a idea on poor fuel MPG number... I'm think the MAP / IAT sensors are lieing to the ECU... Maybe some has a way to test them for me so I can fix this problem... But I'll wait till I get to the Idaho bash... I might just learn a few more tricks... I love to learn from other Cummins Nutz! Maybe I'll have to barrow a SMARTY for a short time and tune up that ECU a bit...

Swank, I just received a notice that you posted a message for me about my 1990 bluedodge, but somehow I wasn't able to pull it up. Would you please repost it, or send it to: klarhorn@aol.com? Thanx a bunch, Keith |
