I got a 2008 2500 dodge cummins and i want to put an exhaust on it and i dont know what size to put on it.im thinking about 4" or 5".then i dont kow what brand is the best

well yours is 4" from the factory. if you want some noise i recommend just getting a different muffler and taking out the cat and particulate filter or just going with a straight pipe. depends what u want but taking out that particulate filter i dont think is legal as well as taking the cat off....oh and how did u add you "my truck profile" into the left side there??????

Not sure if you know about all the emissions stuff on the new trucks, but for now the only company that I know that has full exhausts for your truck is H&S Performance. If you only want a dpf back kit, I've heard goog things about mbrp, check them out.

what modifications can be made?
does it use diesel fuel to burn off particulates?

You can remove the entire exhaust only if you have a fooler box for the exhaust.

Yes, it is call regen. Regen fires the injectors on the exhaust stroke sending raw fuel down the exhaust then it super heats the exhaust temps to burn off the soot.
