Aloha JD,
Welcome to Hawaii. Too bad you're moving to Honolulu, it's a crazy area. I've renamed Honolulu - I call it Detroit, among other things.

From your post it looks like you are a member of the Coast Guard. Check out my website at Captain C. Dean Towle and let me know what you think. Take notice though, the USCG website is undergoing massive reconstruction so many of my links to it don't work right now.

Aloha, Dean.

Aloha Ron,

It's good to know someone in the Fourm is close by. Send me a note on my personal e-mail at captaindean@hawaii.rr.com. We can probably be of service to each other.

Aloha, Dean.

Aloha DirtyCJ5,

I agree, Puna is great. I live in Kona but have 2 quarter acre lots in Puna. One in Hawaiian Acres surrounded by 3-acre parcels and one in Aloha Estates. Are you close by?

Aloha, Dean.

Aloha John, Ron,

I'd vote for you for the Hawaii chapter president... a guy with 4 CTD trucks should be president.

As far as names for the chapter, how about "Middle of the Ocean" chapter or "Deep Blue" chapter. Or with regard to the most active volcano in the world on the Big Island (Hawaii), how about "On Top of Old Smoky". We could even hold meetings at the top of Mauna Kea or Mauna Loa volcanos.

When the Super Ferry gets going in 2009, inter-island truck transport would only take 5 hours instead of several days.

Aloha, Dean.
