Cummins Nut

Updating XRT
Question: I'm towing heavy, and have an XRT. I just updated the tuner to the newest software so I could have a little boost fooling as my egt's get just a bit too hot for my liking (1350-1400) on a REALLY long hill. Is the 'Latest Software' link on your website what I'm looking for or should I download one of the custom tunes with the more aggressive turbo maps? I'm most concerned with keeping the stock head gasket in place ![]() Also, i'm pretty sure the tune I'm running now is the V1 60hp as I received my XRT in april. Again, I don't need any more power, (hell, maybe even less!) I'm just looking to cool down my EGT's about 50-100 degrees. Thanks, Steve

I would always recommend trying the latest software, then trying a custom tune based on what you liked or didn't like about it. The latest software adds some mid range boost, but not much on the top end. I didnt find it necessary to add top end boost, as it gets a little dangerous for the turbo. If you want a little more boost than what the standard tunes give you, try any of the tunes with aggressive turbo tuning. It will add boost all across the board. Any questions you can always PM me or email me for a faster response. Casey

Hey Casey, it's Ken in anchorage. Is there any information on how much heat the 6.7 can take for how long? On long climbs with a large load, 1200-1400f, for 3-5mins or more is very normal with mods. Just wondering.
